Mia is an undergraduate student at the University of Auckland, in her Honours year of a Bachelor of Engineering. Her specialisation is in Engineering Science. Mia’s completing an Honours project with the Augmented Human Lab, working on event summarisation of affective content using multimodal, deep learning. She has experience in optimisation, data science, software development, and machine learning. Mia is interested in the real-world applications of these fields, utilising her experience in multiple sustainability projects in New Zealand. She is excited to work on the human-centred applications of her honours project. During her time off, Mia enjoys cooking a wide variety of food and sharing it with others.
