Tomás Vega

Research Attachment

Tomás was born in Lima, Perú, and studied Computer and Cognitive Science at the University of California, Berkeley. He hopes to create “the human of the future,” which entails developing technology to create new or extend existing human senses and capabilities, including cognition and learning.” His work in assistive technology represents an initial step in that direction. Tomás has been a research assistant at the UC Berkeley Tactical Hybrid Ecologies Laboratory, an “inventioneer” at the school’s Center for Information Technology Research in the Interest of Society (CITRIS) Invention Lab, and a summer intern at the Siri Advanced Development Team at Apple.
